Editorial standards
Editorial and sourcing policy.
Our goal is useful cultural context that readers can verify. The standards below apply to definitions, dietary notes, regional claims, photography, and updates across Korean Food Guide.
1. Source hierarchy
We prefer primary and authoritative cultural sources. Core references include the Korea Tourism Organization's VISITKOREA service and UNESCO's Intangible Cultural Heritage records. Source links are placed beside the claims they support whenever practical.
2. Food and dietary guidance
Spice and dietary notes describe common preparation, not every recipe. We use qualifiers such as “often,” “usually,” and “check for” where ingredients vary. The site does not substitute for direct allergy confirmation or medical advice.
3. AI-assisted production
AI tools may assist with drafting, organization, code, or original visual production. Material is reviewed for relevance, internal consistency, visible-source alignment, and misleading claims before publication. AI assistance does not replace source attribution.
4. Photography and attribution
Editorial photographs retain visible creator credits where supplied. The favicon is an original AI-assisted brand asset; dish photography is credited on the page.
5. Advertising independence
The site may display advertising through Google AdSense. Advertising placement and commercial relationships do not determine editorial definitions, source selection, or recommendations. We do not ask readers to click ads, disguise ads as navigation, or accept payment for unmarked editorial claims.
Advertising data practices and visitor choices are explained in the Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.
6. Corrections and updates
Substantive corrections update the affected text, visible review date, structured data, and sitemap last-modified date. We do not silently add fabricated expertise, testimonials, ratings, or first-hand experience.
7. Journal publishing
Journal entries are original English editorial works with a publication time, topic, visible references, and links to related guides. Draft and scheduled entries remain unavailable to visitors and search crawlers until their release time. RSS and sitemap discovery are generated from the same published record.
